Many people are wondering how Kathy Liebert managed to have so much success in the tough poker world that is dominated usually by man.
She was born in 1967 in Nashville, but spent most of her childhood in Long Island, NY. Her poker adventure starts by the moment she was 12 years old, at her parents' house, where she played poker along with her family and friends.
At the beginning it was only meant for fun, and there was nothing serious about poker. So she followed school and wanted to have a normal and real profession. This way she got a bachelor's degree in Business and Finance. She got a good job, but of course she wasn't too happy about it. The next thing that happened was to follow the advice of her mother to follow her dream and do whatever she liked best and the money will come. So she started to do some stock market investment. And of course she was successful. So much that she managed to quit her day job and have more free time.
After that a trip to the West Coast changed her life. During this trip she made a stop in Las Vegas, where she got the chance to play poker at a real land based casino for the first time. After that all things came naturally just like her mother told her. She started to play more and more poker and she started reading books about poker. And after that she ended playing at the world's largest poker tournaments.
